Top Tips For Travelling Lightly

September 28, 2011 By: admin Category: Travel Tips

Almost all of us have, at one time or another, come to accept the realisation that, yet again, we have packed far too much for our trip away. Carrying the sheer weight of all the excess baggage can start to make us feel in need of a holiday by itself. If you have ever taken the time after a holiday to look through the items being unpacked, you’ll have been astonished by the number of items you didn’t ever use, or used very rarely, and only because it happened to be there. Yet, despite this excellent learning opportunity, when next year rolls around and we have a chance to improve our packing performance, we make the exact same mistakes all over again.

There are a few basic tips which can greatly improve the overall space and weight of the luggage you take, and it really needs very little extra effort to achieve a considerable improvement. The first piece of advice is to start planning early, and collect together the items you think you will need early on. Planning in advance can save you a considerable amount of weight, as it is often those people who pack at the last minute who over pack, and take much more than they need. Planning in advance will give you time to think through carefully all the possibilities and needs you are really likely to face. Think about the weather and the sorts of activities you are likely to be doing.

When it comes to clothes, ignore your usual outfits and combinations and start thinking sensibly about three things. Firstly, items which need very little maintenance. If they tend to wrinkle easily, forget them. Secondly, think about items which will go with most of the other items you are taking. If your whole travelling wardrobe mixes together, you will have a large enough array of combinations to see you through. Thirdly, be realistic about what you are going to need, based on your destination and likely activities. (more…)

September 25, 2011 By: admin Category: Exotic Locations

About half a century ago, Pattaya was an obscure fishing village in Thailand. Pattaya is located about 150 km to the south-east of Bangkok. At that time, the least number of tourists visited this place. Most of the tourists were residents of Bangkok who sought to spend their weekends there and as a result there was only average income from the tourism industry. The Vietnam War proved to be a turning point for the tourist market, as it was used as a Rest & Recreation Center by the US Forces. The U-Tapao Airport was constructed and hotels, various kinds of services, bars and shops were steadily growing.

Now the location has gone to such an extent that it has become the premier beach resort of Thailand. It is developed into a city with an individual existence with its own mayor and its own authority. Pattaya offers almost all facilities for all kinds of people. The prevailing natural ambience is the core in providing beauty for most other beach resorts. But Pattaya is different as it delivers the best of what is available to it. There may not be a better place for entertainment, recreation, fun and sightseeing. The variety on display in Pattaya offers a mind-blowing experience and you will never leave the location disappointed. There is a lot to make the children happily accommodated and full range of comforts available for the sports enthusiastic, couples of all ages searching for leisure and relaxation and those people looking for pleasant sunshine.

Once it is dark there is an unlimited amount of opportunities available for you. This includes options like open-air bars, nightclubs, cabaret shows and discos. The center of attraction after sunset is South Pattaya. If you don’t find it to match your tastes, don’t worry as there are much quieter and calm alternatives. Another key evening attraction is the multi-faceted shopping centers. Almost every center winds up late, so if you are dedicated enough you can bring home Thailand’s finest buys like silk, gems and jewelers, handicrafts and more. Almost all kinds of luxury items are available and one potential hiccup could be the availability of too many options to choose from.

It has got excellent facility for those who are interested in diving and it is among the oldest diving centers in this part of Asia. Windsurfing, water skiing, sea walking, swim sunbathing, fishing, or making trips to the offshore islands are other options available for visitors.

Water scooters are ready for an enchanting journey through the bay and you can use motorcycles, cars or jeeps to enjoy the neighboring beaches or the luxuries outside the resort. The Fine Art Of Choosing A Hotel By Location

September 19, 2011 By: admin Category: Hotels

Very often when people select a hotel for their holiday, the first thing they do is either reach for a brochure with the catchy title on the front including the city name they’re looking to stay in, or alternatively carry out an online search which will also invariably include the city name of the destination.

The problem with doing this is that these brochures or searches will prioritise the hotels as far as their proximity to the city, or other local attraction such as a beach, is concerned. These leaves you with a problem, because what you are not seeing are the number of hotels that are just a little way away from the beach, or just outside the city centre itself. These hotels will have a significant reduction on cost, offering prices which are much reduced as a direct result of being just that little bit further from where you want to visit. (more…)

Honeymoon at Caribbean luxury hotels

September 12, 2011 By: admin Category: Travel Tips

Some Caribbean luxury hotels make a good venue for wedding ceremonies and beach marriages, as they are located near beaches. Some top end luxury hotels have golf courses, tennis courts and other sporting activities to keep people busy when they are not too keen on sunning it on the beach. Water sports, diving and swimming are a popular activity amongst young couples and young people, as this is usually taken part with other people and instructors.

There are other affordable and budget  Caribbean luxury hotels available for those looking to travel without being too frivolous with their money. The luxurious side of the Caribbean does not necessarily need to be enjoyed indoors in a hotel, as this is more than made up for by their beautiful colourful views and white sandy beaches. In addition, with the deep blue sea and warming blue sky, makes it near impossible for you to stay indoors in a hotel.

Some of the budget accommodations will not offer spa treatments or sporting activities, however, they may include en-suite bathrooms with all double bedrooms and a choice of entertainments. Often, people find it easier to stay at bed and breakfasts or hostels, as this allows them the freedom to explore the island more rather than spending time indoors. This would suit people looking to do more sightseeing than enjoying luxury treatments in a hotel. (more…)
